Alan Dean Foster

Born in New York City and Foster raised in Los Angeles, his books have been translated into more than fifty languages and have won many international awards. Foster's work to date includes excursions into hard science-fiction, fantasy, horror and contemporary fiction.

He has also produced the novel versions of many films, including such well-known films as Star Wars, the first three Alien films, Alien Nation, The Chronicles of Riddick, Star Trek, Terminator:Salvation, and both Transformers films, the story for the first Star Trek movie and now, a Fantasy Dog Rom Com entitled Stuart.

Foster enjoys both classical and heavy metal music and recently began composing original music.  To date he has written a number of short orchestral pieces in addition to two symphonies.
